Please note that the normal schedule and all ad-hoc visits to the Heritage Centre were suspended because of the Coronavirus pandemic. However, after a trial re-opening of the Centre on the 30th of August, we are going to open again on three more occasions this year:
Last Sunday in September (27th of September)
Last Sunday in October (25th of October)
Remembrance Sunday (8th of November)
You will be required to wear a face mask and exercise social distancing while you are inside the Centre.
The Centre will be open from 10am until 4pm on all opening days. Entrance and car parking will be Free and disabled access and toilets will be available.
The Centre is situated within the campus of the National Construction College East (NCC) at Bircham Newton, near King's Lynn, Norfolk PE31 6RH. The Centre is easy to find in West Norfolk, where there are many road signs giving directions to NCC. The Heritage Centre is located near the B1155 road, from Stanhoe to Great Bircham, which passes through the NCC site. It is close to the Birches Hotel & Conference Centre. Additional direction signs are displayed within the campus on open days. There is also a large external sign, which will help you to locate the building from the car park.
If you are a representative of a large group who wishes to visit, but you are unable to attend on one of the scheduled open dates, we will try to accommodate your group by opening the Centre on an alternative date. To pre-arrange such an ad-hoc visit, you are requested to contact one of the following trustees, who will do their best to accommodate you: David Jacklin Tel: 01379 741884 or Avril MacArthur Tel: 01362 860139 . We regret that we are not able to offer ad-hoc visits to individuals who are not part of a larger group.
